Auntie and Domi time!

Today the school that my niece goes to had their Thanksgiving Feast. I was delighted when Domi wanted me to attend since her mommy had to work. So of course I went, I even made our family recipe of sweet potatoes. YUMMY!

When I arrived with Tina (her daughter also goes to the school) I couldn't find Domi (for some strange reason I did not recognize her, I didn't see her anywhere) then all of a sudden I see this beaming little smile. She was so excited to see me! What a delightful welcome. The first thing she says to me is "Auntie what you doing here?" (she must have forgotten that I was going to be there) I of course responded with "I am here for you!"

This "feast" was really set up nice, each class was sitting together and all of the kiddos were in festive costumes, Domi wasn't able to be in costume since she had just returned from her other school. Nonetheless she had some festive decorations that she made sure to show me, she decorated a paper roll with cut outs and leaves that said "Dominique is thankful for mommy". So cute!

Domi kept asking me "what we doing after?" I think she thought that I was taking her home with me, when I told her that I have to go back to work she had a sour face, but then I told her that I would see her this weekend she got happy again. Then she asked me "this weekend Nana be at your house?" She was again really excited when I told her yes. Then she proceeded on naming everyone in the family... "Logan at sitter, Nana at home, Dani at school, Uncle Ryan at work, Mommy at work, Papa at work and YOU HERE WITH ME!"

I have never seen Domi be a social butterfly before but today she was saying hello to everyone and talking up a storm. It was so cute.
