Our New Year's celebration began with Logan, Ryan, Caster and I driving to Vegas to be with family. It was extremely nice to see all of them (it really has been awhile). Although we had the opportunity to go down to the Strip to ring in the New Year we decided to ring it in by sleeping (LOL); Ry woke me up long enough to say Happy New Year give a kiss and fall back to sleep (this was right after the fireworks).
On New Year's Day we went and visited with Ry's Gramps (whom is in the hospital recovering from heart surgery). I must say that was wonderful... Gramps started crying when he saw us (mainly Ry). Logan was a little afraid of him because he has never seen Gramps in a wheelchair and with Oxygen; but of course Logan brought life (and NOISE) to the hospital.
After the hospital we went to visit with our friends the Norton's (which we have not seen in over a year). That was SO much fun, our boys all got to play at the park and with all of Chase and Blake's toys (we all had a little of sharing issues, but all in all it was great). Here are some pictures from our visit (Chase, 2 and Blake, 3 and Logan - good buddies). Logan even played catch (with a baseball mitt) with his Uncle Chris! Ry and Chris got to catch up and I got to visit with Amy. It was really wonderful to see all of them; its really funny how time slips away from us! The last time we saw these guys Chase and Logan were 1 and Blake was 2! Chase is a little ham for the camera (so cute) and Blake talks your ear off (in a good way)!
After our visit we went home for dinner; Grandma and Grandpa gave Ry and I a nice New Year's present... they offered to watch the little man and give us a night to ourselves. I must say it was a little odd not having Logan with us for dinner but it was a very nice dinner just the two of us, good start to a great year! BUT even though we had the opportunity to do adult things we ended up going to Toys R Us to look for ideas for Logan (although I think Ry secretly likes that store for him! LOL).
This is how we found Logan after our night out! Little sad we didn't get to tuck him in :(
Mr. and Mrs. Tyson (look I got a baby bump going on!)

Mr. and Mrs. Tyson (look I got a baby bump going on!)The next day we had the pleasure of having Mom with us all day! Ry and I took a break to get hair cuts with one of Ry's old friends and she did a great job (thanks Dee)! Here is a pic of Ry's new do (and I must add that as Ry was styling his hair at home little man HAD to go in with Daddy and style his hair as well):

After our hair cuts we went to eat with Uncle Brian and met Grandpa for Jason's Deli... YUMMY!
Then off for some crib shopping. I must say I do NOT like looking for a crib... too many choices! We still really didn't find one... oh well!

That night as we were coming out of Baby's R Us Logan could smell the Japanese Restaurant in the parking lot and the first thing he says to me is "Mommy I want Sushi!" And boy was he not kidding, we had one last stop to make... at EVERY kids favorite store... Toys R Us and this kid didn't even want to go in the store; he wanted sushi! Really all he wanted was the Miso soup but he did eat tuna as well. Little man even made his own rolls:

On Sunday we drove home... but not before a new adventure! We went to Willow Beach (just outside the Hoover Dam). I have never been so Ry decided it was time. The weather was absolutely perfect, I almost wish it was the time of year we could have rented a boat; instead we had a nice little walk next to the Colorado River.

YES the water really is THAT clear! You really could see through to the bottom!

We had a perfect start to what is showing to be a great year! Hope your 2010 will be very blessed, I know ours is going to be!
Here is to health, happiness and FAMILY in 2010~
