Tonight is PHS's Homecoming game... so this morning they had their annual pep rally in the gym to hype up the school for tonight's BIG game... of course the Y got involved! The YMCA preschoolers trekked their way up the big hill to the PHS gym to help cheer on the Badgers!
Of course I am "one of
those moms" and I attended to help (well mostly to take pictures but I did end up helping too).
This year, like last the preschool asked for the kiddos to be dressed in blue and gold (yellow) for the pep rally... last night we picked out Mr. T's outfit: yellow long sleeve shirt (last year's Charlie Brown costume shirt), blue pants with a yellow stripe (Handy Manny sports pants) AND a SD Chargers jersey!! He was really REALLY prepared!
Mr. T was all too excited this morning ~ he got dressed without even being asked! He even told me "mommy, thank you for picking my outfit". Right before we left he got even more excited when I asked him if he wanted to look like the football team and wear black marks under his eyes (I had to stop and get air in the tires at Discount and he started crying thinking we were going to be late... we weren't!).

I am so happy I got/get to be included in the little things... I hope it stays that way (at least as long as Mr. T wants me to). On a side note, I think Mr. T felt special because he was one of the only kiddos to "go all out" in having spirit for the pep rally; he was the ONLY one that had marks under his eyes! He looked SOOOOOOOOOOOO handsome!
