April Vacation

I am so behind on posting! It's June and I am just now posting about our APRIL vacation!

Oh well! Bear with me!

So this year (acting as if we go every year on vacation... Lol not!) anyways... We took the kids to Disneyland! We were originally thinking of going in October but decided to go BEFORE Peanut turned 3 so we didn't have to pay for her (lol, yes we save $ where we can). We knew Bubba would like it, but I never imagined how much Peanut would LOVE it! Bunny enjoyed herself as well!

So we initially drove up to Vegas to pick up Peanut (she had stayed a week with Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma took her home with her after Bubba's birthday party). We stayed the night and then left first thing in the morning. (Seriously the RIGHT choice, a much easier drive from Vegas than from home, and nice to break up the drive for the kids). Of course Grandma was coming too!

This time we were fortunate enough (thanks Grandma!!!!) to stay at the Disneyland Resort! Again the kids loved it. Originally the first day we were going to drive down to the beach once we got there but instead decided to go to the pool. Again the RIGHT choice! So.much.fun!

First, we had to eat once we got to the hotel! So we went to Goofy's Kitchen. The kids loved it because they got to see quite a few characters and since the kids had gotten autograph books from Grandma and so every character we saw they got their signatures!

We purchased the 3 day park hopper passes. So our first day was Disneyland. The kids were giddy with excitement, we were up and at the park when it opened (10 am, wish it was earlier but it was perfect for our kids and getting 6 people ready).

I cannot remember all of the details of our first day, I just remember it was fun.fun.fun!!! Bubba and daddy went on Star Tours literally 4 or 5 times (that was definitely Bubba's favorite). Towards the end of the day we (er, I) took Peanut on a special mommy-daughter shopping spree at Bipity Boppity Boutique so she could pick out any princess dress she wanted (this was her birthday present from us, and since her birthday party is princesses it will be used again). Peanut was in awe! She was a little kid in a candy store, LITERALLY! She seriously spent time looking at each and every dress, but of course she settled on Cinderella and glass slippers and a crown. Awe our little Princess P! Love her! She was so completely cute! She said to me multiple times "mommy, thank you for my pretty dress!"

Disneyland always has the best parades, the kids absolutely loved them.

Of course, a little Princess HAS to wear her new gown to the happiest place on earth! So day 2 we had a princess (and a knight) in tow! This was perfect because Day 2 brought breakfast at Ariel's Grotto with about 5 different princesses. Peanut was in heaven!!! Bubba won't say it but he liked it too! Bunny... She's so easy going of course she loved it too (as long as you include her she is happy).

Day 2 was all about California Adventure. We went on Cars (awesome btw) and into A Bug's Life and played games with Woody and Buzz and went under the sea on the merry-go-round. We even danced a little. Bubba, mommy and daddy even went into the twilight zone on the Tower of Terror!

Day 3 we spent back at Disneyland. We also got to celebrate Grandma's birthday at The Blue Bayou.

All in all it was an awesome vacation! Seeing this through our kid's eyes was priceless; they were in awe of everything and enjoyed themselves so much! We made Bubba ride all the rides he could (whether he wanted to or not lol). The lines weren't bad at all, very reasonable. And the parks closed at 8 so it was perfect for our kid's bedtime!

We can't wait to go back again before Bunny is 3 (or maybe we will splurge and go after she is 3 and go in October when we have always wanted to??)

Here are pictures of our vacation (since I am blogging on my phone and I cannot insert them within my text).
