Tonight we had the pleasure of taking Logan to see Toy Story 3... little man has been a fan of the Toy Story movies for quite some time so the anticipation for this new movie has been building.
This afternoon Logan and I went to purchase the tickets (because we went with Auntie Brandi, Domi, Nana, Papa and Danielle) since it was opening night we wanted to make sure we were able to see it. When we went to purchase the tickets Logan HAD to take Jessie and Bulls-eye with us. Logan got SO upset because as we were leaving after we got the tickets he thought we weren't going to see the movie, he really didn't understand that we were coming back. He wanted to wait outside on the steps for 2 hours! Finally I convinced him that we were indeed coming back as soon as Daddy got home.
Literally the minute Ryan got home he showed him his toys and reminded him that today was the day, he made Daddy go change his clothes and then we left. We got in the car and he said he was so cited! (excited)... LOVE this!
Logan didn't even mind waiting in line to go into the theater... he waited pretty patiently for a 3 year old (and mind you he has NOT had a nap all day, so I was a little worried). He was reminded many times prior to the movie starting that he had to be quite (the last movie we tried to take him to he talked and we had to wait outside until it was over). Logan LOVED the movie, he was quite (except when he was laughing along with everyone else) and watched the whole movie, he even sat still!!!! (which seriously if you know Logan is AMAZING).
I love moments like this when you can share excitement with your child, it makes being a parent worthwhile! (Although moments like this are not the only ones that make it worthwhile).
