HAPPY 4th of JULY (ok so its a little late... oh well)!
This year was really laid back (obviously, we just had a baby). We went swimming and had my parents and sisters over for some BBQ.
It was really nice because my parents had only seen Reese one time in the hospital, my mom got sick right after and stayed away so to not get any of us (especially Reese) sick.
We grilled up yummy ribs and corn on the cob; all followed by ice cream! Logan literally cleaned his plate!
On Saturday Auntie Brandi took Logan downtown to see the parade while Ryan, Reese and I stayed home. (I must say it was a nice short break from the energy of a 3 year old). But Sunday was all about family.
This year, again much like last year Logan was NOT about the fireworks, in fact he is terrified of them. Just the mention of fireworks makes Logan want to jump into your arms, when my sisters and mom were trying to get him to come outside to watch he was crying and trying to climb up my leg! So needless to say we did NOT watch them, not even from afar!
In other news, Logan is still very much excited about "his" baby. He means well in pretty much everything he does with her; we just have to remind him all the time what he is doing. We are still having listening issues with our little man but again that is to be expected.
Not that everyone cares but it is a BIG deal to us... Logan is well on his way to being potty trained! We started this week with the "cold turkey" method and took away all pull-ups. On Tuesday we only had 3 or 4 accidents and Wednesday we had something like 3 but today we only had 1 (yes mark that ONE)! We are so excited... and he is excited to be a big boy and earn that Batman Bat Cave (his incentive).
Daddy went back to work on Tuesday, although we were sad to see him leave it is something that needs to happen again. I started back to work on Wednesday (I was approved to work from home for 3 days a week while I am on leave so we don't get too behind in the office). It has been interesting trying to get things done with a new baby around as well as do my job but I am making it work. It was extremely easier today when Ry took Logan to daycare, dealing with 2 kiddos while trying to work is HARD!!!
As always, what is a blog without pictures? Enjoy~
