Princess Peanut is 1 month old!

Sorry this is long but there is lots of pictures :)

I cannot believe that we have been in the presence of another angel for a month now! It is hard to believe that she is already 1 month old, seriously where does the time go?

Over the last month our lives have significantly changed... we now have TWO kids! It is crazy to think that I am mama to not one, but TWO beautiful children. They are my everything! I feel so amazingly blessed to have my little man and now my princess.

After 1 month our little peanut has started to get her own personality... she is such a GREAT baby! Here are some things about our little peanut:

• Her hair has lightened, but still brown but more like my color instead of Ryan's
• Her eyes are still blue (not that we really expected them to change over the last month) and we expect that they will stay the beautiful blue they are
• She has grown about an inch (we took her to the Dr at 3 weeks and she was 19 3/4 in so I assume she has grown a little more)
• She is probably 8 lbs now (again when we took her to the Dr she was 7 lbs 15 oz)
• She drinks about 6- 4 oz bottles throughout the day (I think maybe not quite that many)
• She is a MESSY eater! (BUT super cute)
• She loves to cuddle ~ which is a good and bad thing, bad because she wants to be held all of the time (not good) but good because I LOVE to cuddle her and don't want to put her down most of the time
• She has started to "talk" to us (by making sounds when we talk to her)
• She has started to be more alert more often
• She has started to be awake more often
• She loves her swing or bouncer
• She has started to smile more often, I almost think she is starting to focus more and starting to recognize us ~ she definitely knows her brother's voice and turns in his direction when he talks to her
• She is so calm and collective all of the time
• She really only wakes up between 1 and 2 am and then again between 5 and 6 am ~ only TWO times in the night is NOT BAD!!!
• She went to Mimi's (our beloved babysitter) house for the 1st time today ~ and Logan was SO excited to show her off!
• In 1 month's time we have taken 565 pictures of her (hehe that's a lot - more than with Logan, but he has been in a LOT of these)

She is much more alert now & is awake for longer during the day!

I love this picture... it is almost as if she is looking at her brother thinking to herself "you are SO weird, but for some reason you amuse me!" that or "what the hell are you saying?"

She is absolutely BREATHTAKING!

1st meeting Uncle Robbie (Ry's cousin) ~ we haven't seen Robbie (Tony) since our wedding and it was great to get together with him again. We also hung out with Brandi, if only Lacy were there as well it would have been old times when we were kids! Oh the memories!

This is where little man is most of the time (when he isn't playing with Starwars or Batman) ~ hugging, kissing or smelling HIS baby!

Little man has become the BEST big brother, from day 1 a month ago he has shown how much he loves her. He still continues to be affectionate towards her. We have not had the problem of him being jealous (per say); he does not smother her with being jealous, he smothers her with LOVE! He is a little rough still but he is learning. He is SUPER helpful (when he wants to be); over the last month he has:

• Helped get us various things for Reese (diapers, cream, wipes, blankets, etc.)
• Helped entertain her while we were getting a bottle ready
• Fed her a bottle
• Helped change a diaper (YES seriously he did this)
• Helped throw away dirty diapers (again seriously)
• Held her SO many times (this is where he does get a little jealous... he doesn't want anyone else holding her when they come over, he wants to)
• He has picked her up (ok, this was a BAD thing and completely FREAKED the living s*&@ out of me but thankfully she was ok)
• Helped us with her in the car when she is fussy

THIS ONE IS ALL ABOUT HIM ~ over the last month he has become potty trained! Most people say NOT to try this right after you bring a baby home but he did it! I am SO proud!

I could not ask for better children!

I will leave with this quote (and it is one of my favorites because it completely explains my life right now)... "Life isn't about the breaths we take, it's about the moments that take our breath away." ~ I have 2 beautiful children and a wonderful husband that every moment I spend with them make it so that I cannot breath and I LOVE everything about it!
