Arrrgh! Pirate Baby Shower & Birthday party!

This weekend was Pirate filled!

1st after our soccer game on Saturday I had the pleasure of helping throw a baby shower for a friend of mine.

Its funny how it worked out actually... Kelli is the soon-to-be mommy and we reconnected through Facebook back around Bubba's 3rd birthday (she is the one who made his WONDERFUL sports cake). I saw her blog and Facebook pictures of the cake she had made for her boy's birthday and asked if she could do something for Bubba (since I was going to spend the $$ I would rather give it to someone I know rather than the big stores). So of course she worked something up (which she hated and I LOVED). I knew Kelli in high school but we never hung out... BOY WAS THAT A MISTAKE! LOL actually I am serious, we have SO much in common its scary! It is almost like we share a brain. Anyways Kelli and I were pregnant at the same time so we were sharing stories (again on Facebook) and after I had Peanut I kept asking her if she wanted to do play dates (she has a 5 year old and a 2 year old) with Logan but she kept avoiding me. So just because I didn't need my maternity clothes anymore I wanted to give them to her and took them over (now mind you I really didn't realize she was avoiding me) anyways to make a long story short as a thank you she took me to a movie. And actually both of us were trying to find reasons out of going to the movie but went anyways. We ended up talking until 3 am that morning! But I got involved with the shower because Angie (another one from high school) said she should do something (Kelli wasn't going to do anything because she didn't think anyone would come, plus it is her 3rd boy)... Angie and I were not having it! Kelli even tried to talk us out of it!

Kelli LOVES pirates and so I came up with the idea to do a pirate baby shower (weird I know but it was AWESOME, you can do anything with a little creativity). Here is the invitation:

The party was a blast! Angie and I put so much thought into the party, it was awesome! And to Kelli's surprise a lot of people showed up! Here are the rest of the pictures from the party:

Kelli & I ~ I think this shower has brought us together and we are going to be really good friends!

Then on Sunday my good friend and coworker, Tina's daughter Kayleigh had her tropical pirate birthday party that Bubba and Domi were invited to. So dressed as pirates we went! Reese included! Check it out!

This is what happens when you have a pirate that doesn't get a nap all day!
That was our fun-filled weekend... busy busy busy!
