Another month has flown by! I cannot believe my little Peanut is already 5 months... to me it literally seems like she was just born and we were welcoming her into our lives. It saddens me and excites me at the same time to see her grow and progress the way she has.
Growing up I did not realize how much time flys... until I had kids of my own. Now that I have my own it seems like one special day is here then you find yourself 5 months later already!
I feel like over the last month she has made a lot of changes in her development, she is doing so much more now.
At 5 months Peanut is:
- She weights 13 lbs 7 oz (50%)
- She is 24.5 in (50%)
- Laughs uncontrollably (mainly at Daddy)
- Stares for a long time, almost as if she is memorizing your face
- Smiles more than she is ever sad (it is really rare to see this little Peanut without a smile)
- Can pick out Mommy or Daddy from across the room without hearing our voice
- She is VERY much a Daddy's girl
- Slept through the night (well this was only once but nonetheless she did it)
- Has started eating baby food (she has tried a lot of foods... applesauce, bananas, pears, peaches, green beans, carrots, squash, sweet potatoes)

- Has switched from rice cereal to oatmeal
- She drinks about 6- 6 oz bottles a day (sometimes more sometimes less)
- Both her hair and eyes have NOT changed
- She has started to get a bald spot on the back of her head where she rubs (its kinda funny)
- She has done this for awhile but she LOVES mommy's signing (it is ONLY mommy's and it has to be "Hush Little Baby") ~ I posted this last month but it has become more apparent this last month
- She had her 1st Halloween (she went as a butterfly) and had her 1st Thanksgiving ~ where she ate mashed potatoes and real (not baby food) sweet potatoes for the first time
- She is a regular babbler... really funny I will be holding her and in a conversation with someone and she has to join in and make her own talk
- She held her bottle for the 1st time (and has since really been trying every time, sometimes she needs help)
- She met a bunch of people for the 1st time (Auntie Laura, Uncle Brian, Auntie Melissa ~ these are Grandpa John's kids; Uncle J ~ Papa's twin brother & Uncle Danny; Papa Joe ~ Papa's dad (these 3 were a first for Bubba as well)

- She tries to scoot when she does tummy time (more than last month)
- She is seriously teething (she has at least 2 teeth coming in and both appear to be on top)
- She is now in her jumperoo (and LOVES it)
- She sat in a restaurant high chair for the 1st time
- She is still in the process of rolling over... although Daddy says she has done it, she just doesn't do it all the time
- She enjoys watching football with Daddy and blogging with Mommy (literally as I type she is sitting content in my arms)
