Happy Valentine's Day

I love love! So Valentine's Day is a great day in my book... however I wish the hype you get on Valentine's Day would be spread around all year long. I mean really should there be a day when you are supposed to buy flowers or should that be at random? I believe it should be at random! That makes it more fun!

This weekend we had Danielle spend the night... BOY was she helpful! Seriously! Anywhoo we made Valentine's cookies (I think I am going to start this as a tradition with the kids... it was SO fun and Bubba really got into it).

Sadly this Valentine's Day we aren't really celebrating... (Ryan and I that is) mainly due to Ryan having school tonight (oh well). But I sure did make it a big deal for the kids this morning!

I tip toed into Bubba's room this morning and gently woke him up telling him that Cupid came and left him and Peanut a present! He immediately got up (first things first, he went to the potty while I went and got Peanut) then went into the living room where he found a red bag waiting for each of them! OOOOH what could it be???

Bubba knew what his and Peanut's presents were because well, he was with me when I bought them. Every day since we bought them he has asked "is it Valentimes day" ~ see I told him this was his Valentine's present and that he had to wait, so every day he asked. So cute. When I told him this morning that Cupid had brought him a present he knew who the presents were from and he immediately gave me a hug and a big Thank you Mommy and Daddy after he opened his present.

What was his Valentine's present you ask... TRANSFORMERS of course! What little Valentine can do without those? And Peanut got a new sippy cup and a mini ladybug pillow pet (Bubba picked that one out to match her other one so that she could have a mommy and a baby).

On a cute note... I asked Bubba this morning who was his Valentine and he replied with Reesey! Awe LOVE him! When I asked him if he had a Valentine at school and he replied with "Ms. Kristy (who is another teacher in school), she is my sweet teacher!" OMG! How cute is that!

And I must note that my hubby is the BEST! As I posted earlier (in this very blog) that we weren't going to get each other presents BUT being the sweetheart he is... he surprised me at lunch with the following:

He said he got me a plant instead of flowers because for our anniversary I got him a plant and he has made it grow so he thought I could do the same... AND IT WAS PURPLE!!!! And I LOVE the card (inside joke is that he has gotten me this exact card before!) LOVE LOVE him!
