Princess Peanut is 10 Months Old!

This month has seemed to go by a lot faster than most, with planning Bubba's 4th birthday, this new business venture (to see previous post click HERE),T-ball, sickness, work and all I have had little time to really stop and take in that my baby girl is already 10 months old! This month went SO SO SO fast!

I must note that our little Peanut is a super trooper! During the last month she has made SO much progress! And during the last month she has been sick as well... pretty sick with yet another ear infection as well as allergies! And while being sick with this ear infections she remains HAPPY! She seriously is a ray of sunshine! We have people telling (those who don't have kids) that if they were guaranteed a baby as happy as her they would have 2! And those who do have kids wonder what is going on with her because even with a massive ear infection she was smiling and happy! YEAH we MUST be doing something right!

So at 10 months Miss Peanut can/is doing the following:

• She weighs 17 lbs 1 oz (at least she did last week when I took her to see our beloved Dr. Sipes)
• She has 7 (YES 7) teeth! Maybe more... she is seriously teething right now with a whopping 3 coming in right now... needless to say it was a rough last couple of days for her!
• She has had 4 ear infections... Dr. says we are most likely postponing the inevitable... at this point because it is spring time we wait for the 5th THEN off to Dr. Strasser we go!
• She can now say a total of 8 words: Mama, Dada, Daddy (yes she speaks the difference), Bubba, hi, bye, yeah, and another that I cannot think of. She has also said (just not consistently) back, done, thank you (although this one was just after I gave her a toy and she made the sounds of thank you ~ its a start!)
• She knows "No" and shakes her head no when she doesn't want something.
• She REFUSES to eat baby food! We tried to "trick" her by putting the baby food into a different container (one like what we would use) but she knows the difference... she wants what we eat!
• She drinks 8 oz at a time but has started to drink more juice (and loves it)
• She is still in size 2 diapers
• She cannot really wear 6-9 mo clothes any longer (some still fit but most do not) and is definitely into 9 mo clothing and actually some 12 mo clothing
• She HATES to wear head bands... but Mommy wants her to look cute and makes her
• Her hair is BLOND!!!!!
• She has found her FAVORITE item... her blankie! She loves this so much that we had to order 2 more from Target (because they no longer have them at the store!)
• She loves music and dances to it whenever she can
• She is still as nosy as ever doing everything she can to see what is going on!
• She tried a sippy cup for the first time
• She had her first Easter! And we spent it in Vegas with family... this was very nice! (post on that later)
• She is VERY much a mama's girl... I walk into a room and if she sees me she wants me! If I don't say hi to her or go get her she gets whinny. (I secretly LOVE this! I love that she needs me like that... my Peanut!)

BIGGEST NEWS:

• She has started to crawl! Ok not exactly but she is doing the Army crawl and scoots everywhere! We are working on getting those legs up under her! She is doing AWESOME!
• She has also sat up from a laying position ~ this is harder for her because of her condition and we are working with our PT (Dr. Kelsey) for this. Speaking of which, Dr. Kelsey said that IF Peanut makes as much progress this month as she did last month she will go to every couple of months seeing her! YEAH! Not that we don't like seeing Dr. Kelsey its just that we want our Peanut to make as much progress as possible!
• She has been "transitioned" to a BIG GIRL car seat (rear facing of course!) and she LOVES it!
