We originally asked my parents and sister on Friday if they would like to go with us but all bowed out and it happened to be just the 4 of us... and let me tell you, IT WAS SO MUCH FUN!
What a great day! The company was AMAZING, the weather in Phoenix was perfect (not too hot with a slight breeze) and the zoo wasn't too crowded. Seriously it was a perfect family outing!
At first we weren't sure Bubba would really be into looking at all the animals... I suppose that is why we waited so long to take him to a real zoo (I say that because we have taken him to Prescott's Heritage Park Zoo but come on people its just not the same!). But he really was! He wanted to see everything! And it was OH so cute when we would go up to an animal he was excited about he would yell _______(whatever type of animal it was) and either say come over here or do the sound that animal makes. OMG! So cute! While we were there we also rode a couple of the rides they had: train, log ride and skyline. Again SO much fun! He loved every minute! Peanut even had fun... granted she doesn't really know what these animals are but she had fun just observing so much in fact she fought every minute to NOT take her nap! She finally crashed (HARD)! We ended up spending the whole day there (well about 10am to 330pm ~ which is ALL day when you are 4 and 10 mo old).
