It was the first time in Prescott history where they did a couple of things...
- Served alcohol on the square
- Sectioned off 9 total blocks of downtown
- Shuttled people (for parking) from one end of town to another
We lucked out because we have a family home downtown so we went there and parked (for free) and just walked down. There were some places charging $5 - $10 just to park! Crazy!
Anyways when we first got down there we went straight to eat... we checked out the food court on Goodwin but did not want to wait in the LONG lines so we trekked it over to PBC for some good grub. Once that was done and our bellys were full our friends texted us to let us know they were there... off to the beer garden we went! BOO for me! I cannot drink! It was fun though because we could take the kiddos (and they were fenced in) into the beer garden. It was really close to where they were playing music (one of the main stages) so Peanut was in HEAVEN! She danced and danced. So freaking cute!
Then we were headed off to the Indian Village where we got stopped by the AZ Cardinals cheerleaders! Of course we had to get pictures with them.
Then while our friends went and ate we (Ry, Brandi and I) took the kiddos over to the family fun area. Which I must say was a disappointment. Don't get me wrong, it was fun for Bubba and Domi but not so much for Peanut. They had jumpers for the kids but nothing for younger kids (sorry Peanut). But Auntie Brandi was as sweet as she is and took Peanut up a slide a bunch of times (I tried but its kinda hard holding Peanut while pulling yourself up a vertical slide while your feet are swollen).
Speaking of being swollen... its gonna be a LONG 7 months if my ankles were this swollen this quickly... definitely something I am going to have to watch!
Back to the family fun... we did take the kids over to see the Disney characters and got some pictures there.

The kids went to jail!
And last but not least (of my picture taking... forgot to bring the GOOD camera) we had at least 10 fly-overs while we were there... sooooo cool!
We stayed until almost 8! Almost 8 LONG hours... I wanted to stay to see the fireworks and Jordan Sparks but Bubba was NOT having it (he was freaking out completely because of the fireworks) and Peanut was a super trooper and did not take a nap the entire day so she was spent. So the long walk up Gurley St. we went... by the time we got to the house Peanut was asleep (we made Bubba walk the entire way so he was tired). It was a very tiring day but FUN!
Happy 100th Birthday AZ!
