I know I will NEVER forget where I was and what I was doing when that fateful day happened. ~ I was at home getting ready for class. I was in my freshman year of college. Just the night before, and this will stick with me forever - Ryan and I had been talking (as we did every night during our 3 year long distance relationship ~ it had just started); we were talking and he said something... he said he didn't know what or when or where but something BIG was going to happen SOON! He didn't know if it were good or bad, but something BIG! Then the very next morning at 7am he called me crying he told me to turn on the T.V. and there it was!
The turn of events that day were eerie... I went to ERAU and the atmosphere at school was very strange; all planes were grounded (which I have NEVER in my life seen; and hope to never see again) and the military presence at school was very somber.
We really didn't have lectures that day, mainly every class was either canceled or if it was held we were watching the News.
10 years later and we are still feeling the affects of this devastating event. I pray for the families of those lost, but I also pray for those (and their families) of those who were saved. As horrific of an event it was, everything happens for a reason and God has/had a plan... today I think it was unification of our nation. That attitude, while sometimes dormant it is still there and we need to make it alive again!
