WARNING: LONG LONG LONG post with TONS of pictures ~
As some of you know this Saturday we celebrated not only our children's dedication but also Peanut's 1st birthday... I of course went all out, pulling out all of the stops for my little Peanut with none other than a BUTTERFLY theme (and as some of you know butterflies are my FAVORITE so it was only natural to do this for her 1st).
For her invitation I wanted to make it elegant while keeping with the theme, with a little help from a good friend I came up with this idea ~
I used the photos from our annual family photos taken by Chariese of RED Photography. This was a front and back kind of invitation.
Then of course I used the theme on the invitation throughout all of the other decorations.
I will first start with all of the custom items I did then move on to the actual pictures from the party. Of course, like Bubba's parties I want to make them memorable for not only my kids but the people that attend; not to show off or anything but because I LIKE to do this! Next to Bubba's Star Wars party this is by far my favorite I have done, mainly for obvious reasons (butterfly theme) but also because this is the first really girly party I have done!
So for the party I obviously made the invitations, banner, highchair banner and some random other butterfly string banners, but I also ventured out and made custom door sign, party favors and matching labels for the bags, cupcake tags and food tent tags, water labels, pom poms (these were made 1 year ago by myself, Auntie Brandi and Auntie Tina for Peanut's baby shower), I also created for the 1st time a 12 month banner with the same saying from her birth announcement. I also created Reesie Pops (upside down Reese's Pieces with an edible butterfly on top ~ this is going to be a new tradition I do for her birthday each year according to the theme). Here are the pictures of all of these items ~

For the rest of the decorations I of course hired my bestie, Lacy to do the balloons. I found a picture of something that she had never done before and I was just hoping she would want to create it... AND she did! And she did a wonderful job! I wanted butterflies and flowers... she did more than I expected and it turned out WONDERFUL! My other friend Kelli did Peanut's "smash" cake and flowers.
