Princess Peanut is 20 months old!

Seriously WHERE does the time go??

Our precious Princess is already 20 months old and in a very short 4 months I will be posting she is 2! And on top of that in a very short 7 weeks our lil' lady will be here. OMG Princess Peanut is a BIG sister! (I still don't think this has completely set in with me yet)!

I know that I just posted one of these at 18 months and I said that I wouldn't do it anymore unless they were big milestones but I am finding she is doing more and more and if I wait until she is 2 then it will literally take me forever (and I know at that time I will not have time to do it!)

So here you go for your reading (and viewing) pleasure:
In my last post (see it by clicking here) I stated that she is pretty much always happy... well, that has changed, sort of. She is happy most of the time but she definitely has her own personality and ATTITUDE!!! The terrible twos are here and I am not sure if they are leaving any time soon. I think at times it is safe to say she is on the BRAT side (lol don't get me wrong I love her more than anything but sometimes I cannot handle her attitude ~ and to my defense neither can Ry). When she isn't getting her way she is throwing a fit!

At 20 months old Princess Peanut can/is:

  • She is SOOOOOOOOOOO independent! She has to do all things on her own; she does try so hard!
  • She is more impatient
  • She is over 23 lbs
  • She has a very sweet heart (when she isn't throwing a fit lol).
  • She is affectionate and gives some of the BEST kisses
  • She talks... SO MUCH! She is trying so hard to put all kinds of words together... she is starting to put together 3 word sentences.
  • She is close to size 4 diapers ~ hopefully soon we will not be needing diapers anymore for this Princess (ok I KNOW that is wishful thinking... she has yet to go in the potty BUT she does tell us "peepee" when she goes)
  • All of a sudden she doesn't want to ever get dressed, its a fight most all of the time
  • She LOVES getting her hair done
  • She got her very first hair cut (bangs) over the last month ~ see that post by clicking here
  • She LOVES doing her nails
  • She LOVES perfume or lotion (and when I put some on she MUST do it too!)
  • She LOVES putting makeup on too
  • She loves to brush her teeth (a great start to personal hygiene)
  • She loves showers ~ such a water bug
  • She is such a girly girl!
  • She can snap her fingers
  • She makes up her own songs all the time
  • She dances all of the time too
  • She loves music
  • She got actual timeout for the first time but this is what is funny... she actually knew where timeout was! When Ry told her to go to time out she went right over to our spot (crying the entire way)
  • She understands "say you're sorry" and really is starting to understand when she hurts someone
  • She is recently trying to help out Mr. T with chores (tonight she helped him feed the dogs. I told the kids to feed the puppies and she went right over to their bowls and picked one up and then Mr, T grabbed the other and they did it together)
  • She has started the biting stage (NOT GOOD ~ we never had this problem with Mr. T): that is what she got into trouble with the other day for biting Mr. T HARD!!!
  • Everything can become a phone
  • She loves Elmo whom she affectionately calls "Melmo"
  • You ask her where Mommy's baby is and she points to my tummy; she has recently started calling the baby by name
  • She knows all of her body parts
  • She is progressing on her numbers and now knows that 2 comes after 1
  • She loves kitties, they are her favorite
  • She is a ham... she sees a camera or my phone and starts automatically saying "cheese"
  • Her favorite food is fruit... she goes crazy over bananas "nanas" and apples "bapples"
  • She mimics everything her brother does... EVERYTHING!
  • She experienced her very first baby shower, for her little sister just the other day. This was bittersweet for me because while at the shower (posting about the shower later, once I get pictures) we had some other kiddos, older kiddos and she wanted (and did) so badly to keep up with them. Bittersweet for me because it really showed me that this little Princess really is becoming her own person and is not a baby anymore!
Here are some pictures in the last couple of months of our Peanut:

Don't you just love this Peanut?? We do! (even with the fit throwing and being a brat!)
