Peanut's 2nd birthday party!!!

Yesterday we celebrated Peanut's 2nd birthday with a Sesame Street themed party.

As always I put my best foot forward preparing for her party from the invitations to the decorations to the food, nothing wasn't planned! Because this year we had our sweet Bunny I really wanted to go all out for Peanut (since she isn't the baby anymore) AND because I know she will remember this party (since Mr. T can remember his 2nd bday I know she will too).

I started with the invitation... I used pictures that my friend Chariese took of Peanut (pictured here with the Thank you cards and envelopes I also made):

Then here are the decorations. I made most everything some ideas were my own but others I got from pinterest. My bestie Lacy did the Elmo balloon for me. Here are the items I made. I also used sidewalk chalk to decorate the entrance (the hopscotch idea was from my friend Tina).

Pom Poms that we hung from the ceiling ~

I made this! She loved it!
The food! A lot of the ideas for these came from pinterest. I love how they turned out! I again hired my friend Alex from Alexandra Kate Cakes to make he cupcakes and cookies. They were awesome! What you cannot see here is that the cake is actually rainbow! I even made food tent cards BUT of course it was windy and I wasn't able to even put them out :(
Custom water bottle labels... there was Elmo, Abby, Big Bird, Count, Snuffy, Zoe, Oscar, and Cookie
Sesame Street Rainbow Fruit Skewers
Cookie Monster cupcakes... made by Alex from Alexandra Kate Cakes

Buffalo Chicken dip (total hit), Burt and Ernie sandwiches (Pb&J for the kids, Chicken salad for adults) & Oscar Veggies
Elmo Veggies, Dorthy's Goldfish and Rosita's Queso
For the party favors I asked that everyone please RSVP and they did! I put a custom touch on each kiddo's bag... their name! They also got either an Elmo or Abby notebook, pack of crayons, goldfish crackers, Sesame Street stickers and a water bottle. These were fun! For the 3 babies that came they were not left out... they also got goldfish crackers, water bottle and a little character that they can hold instead of the notebook and crayons. Pretty sure these favors went over well.

Games/ entertainment... Well these were kind of a lost cause but I tried. We really only ended up playing one of these. The games I had planned was Oscar's Trash Toss (which we didn't play), Pin the Cookie on Cookie Monster (which we did play- but I didn't outline where the cookie should go and just told the kids to place the cookie where they thought a cookie should go... some of them got it while others put them on random areas. It was cute) and the last game was Ernie's Duckie Pond where the kids had to pick a Duckie and the number on the bottom was the number of candies they got (lol the all had te number 2 since it was her 2nd. But damnit those kids were surprised every time they got a 2!) Peanut and her friend pretty much took over this game (more on that in a bit). Then we also had our bounce house up for the kids. That was a hit!

Here are some other random pictures that were taken and her opening presents. Over all I think it was a hit and she had a great day!

Daddy!

Seriously wonder what they are talking about :)

Funny story here... This is my best friend from elementary school; and I graduated from college with her husband Kris. We reconnected after like 20 years by randomly seeing each other on Mt. Vernon while Trick-or-Treating and again on Facebook. We have so much in common, both Peanut and their oldest are a month apart and Bunny and their youngest (pictured here) are 2 months apart; our anniversaries are both in the beginning of June AND we have the same diaper bag LOL! They drove all the way up from Phoenix just to come to the party! ~ thanks guys!

Calling her friends to open presents! She is yelling at them to get out!
Caught you Rachel!
Mr. T is making the girls laugh!
Sweet Irelyn!

The Amber's!
Thanks T for coming even though I know you weren't feeling up to it! Love ya!

Good lookin' lil man!
Nana and Auntie convinced Peanut to dunk her head into the Duckie Pond... so Oleysa and Peanut took over this! I think they had a great time!

 Presents!

 Cake!

 Tyson's!
 Sweet Bliss!

These were taken by my friend Kris... (SO BEAUTIFUL ~ Thanks Kris)

The really cool thing was that all the family members present at the party dressed up! Peanut had her Reese Street shirt (that I made), Bunny had a Dorothy (Elmo's goldfish) on her front and "Elmo Loves me" on the back (again I made), Mr. T had a Super Team Sesame Street shirt, Mommy had Elmo, Daddy had MWA (Monsters with Attitude) shirt, Grandma and Auntie and Uncle Marshall and Papa all had Cookie Monster shirts, Nana and Dani had Oscar shirts... it was really cool!

Thank you to all who came! We really appreciate all of you that took a moment to celebrate our Princess Peanut with us!
