She is such an amazing little girl (no longer a baby)... full of life and excitement (and tons of SASS!!).
Not knowing what to write in this post I did a recap on last year's post (view it here ) I am brought to tears. Seriously she has been with us for 2 years... our lives are different because of her! Although lately more and more of her sass is coming out she is so much fun to have around and has helped complete our family more than we will ever really know.
This little girl has a lot in store for us I am sure!
Over the last year there has been many changes for Peanut... she (as all of you know) is no longer THE baby of the family as we welcomed our sweet Bunny in April when she was only 22 months old. I thought this was going to be really hard fo her and surprisingly I was wrong! Peanut is the BEST big sister! She loves Bunny so much, she is so helpful with her as well! (Don't tell anyone but I am SO SO SO SO happy we have 2 little girls to pay with. I can only imagine what fun we will have in another year!) ~ daddy and Mr. T are in for it!
Here are some things that our precious Princess Peanut can do/is doing at 2:
- Peanut can talk and understand more than any other 2 year old I know. She is clear and concise! I LOVE it!! She can carry on a conversation with you and you can actually understand what she is saying or what she means. Daily I am surprised at what she understands or talks about.
- She LOVES to be outside playing. Her favorite location is the swing. She loves to be outdoors and barefoot! If we would let her she would be outside all day every day!
- She has started to show signs that she may be potty training soon (this mama is very hopeful!)
- She LOVES shoes! She knows exactly where they go and how to put them on... she is constantly trying shoes on and taking them off.
- She is probably 26 lbs now
- She has BLONDE hair!!! I know I had somewhat blonde hair but nothing like how she is. She likes to have her hair done (on her own time). She even has started brushing her own hair.
- She is very independent! SHE wants to do things on her own! Sometimes I love it while others I don't ~ she is a big girl but not that big... yet!
- She likes to help me sweep and mop and vacuum: when I am doing these chores she tells me "I help" I let her, it may take 10x longer but I have been letting her lately.
- She knows most of her colors; if you point to a color and ask her what color it is sometimes she will answer (and be right) but if you say where is the color red (or whatever color you want) she will every time answer correctly.
- She knows how to count (definitely) to 5 and (sometimes) to 10. We are still working on this.
- She is starting to learn letters
- She love love loves to read! Any type of book she wants to read it. We are very blessed that my mom watches the girls and reads to her daily!
- She loves Elmo and Curious George (at the moment)
- She is a great mommy ~ to her babies... when I feed Bunny she feeds Zoe (her baby), when I burp Bunny, she burps Zoe (and so on) it is so cute!
- She loves music, ANY kind (but she does have her favorites... right now it happens to be "Butterfly Fly Away" by Miley Cyrus ~ kind of fitting since she is my little butterfly
- She loves to dance... and when she hears a beat of any kind she will try to dance.
- She plays with her new kitchen all the time (one of her favorite toys right now) and will come to you with a notebook and crayon and says "Burger, Fries?" like she is taking your order... then she will go over to her kitchen and bring you something. This is so cute! I love it1 And I guess from what I am told I used to do EXACTLY the same thing when I was little. I do remember always having a pen and paper taking everyone's order! LOL
Happy Birthday sweet Peanut, we love you so very much, more than words can say. You are a ray of sunshine to a dark day. Your smile can light up the world!
