Greek Goddess Family Reunion

This last weekend we had a family reunion (for Ry's side of the family) ~ Gummy, Goggie & Thelma, the "Greek Goddesses".  Boy was there a lot of people (40ish to be exact)... some that I knew and some that I should have known (I guess I met them before, but I think the last time was at our wedding) and some that I was meeting for the first time. Try to ask me all of their names and I would fail! That is unless it was Gummy's side (that is the side I married into). Literally the weekend was JAMMED with family!

First on Friday we started at the Brinkmeyer house with hors d'oeuvres and cocktails:
Chillin' with the grandparents

Grandma was so happy to see Bubba
Grandpa (or should I say Baby hog) with Peanut
Because we looked so nice I had to get a pic with my man!

Then it was off to Macayo's for dinner... seating for 40 people is really hard to do. I must say I was impressed with the service (poor girl did seem overwhelmed though) but the food... not so much! But I did have a very yummy margarita!
One long-ass table of people! But I managed to get everyone in the pic
One of the best cousins ever!
Peanut chillin' with the fam
Bubba loved cousin Nic
Ry never has a nice pic with mom :(

The next event of the reunion was the horse races on Saturday. All of the family members this reunion was dedicated to owned race horses so it was only natural to spend the day at the track. So we had it arranged for our own private room, catered of course and our own window to place our bets. But Saturday it rained.. A LOT! So sadly all of the festivities were canceled; at the last minute Lisa was calling me asking what we could do for a back-up plan. Oh no! A back-up plan for 40 people to do something in Prescott! What the heck is there to do in Prescott on a rainy day??? NOTHING! So we went on with the plans as arranged... even though our track was closed they were running other races elsewhere but had them on the tvs in our room. We also got a presentation from one of the jockeys, which was really cool.
The whole group
Lisa had this made for one of the horses to wear... too bad they didn't run

Bubba being Bubba... need I say more?
Peanut and Auntie Lisa
Muddy track ~ to my knowledge they have only canceled races 2 or 3 times
Everyone betting on the other races
Eliot decided that he would wear it and pretend to race ~ Dork! lol
After the race track everyone went their separate ways for the evening... we went home and let the kiddos take a nap. Ry and I went to Kohls for some shopping (they were having a sale). Got some pretty cool clothes (much needed). Then after the kiddos woke up we went to the hotel to visit with the fam some more.

Sunday brought some more family time ~ Lisa and Chelle (Ry's cousins) had arranged a nice breakfast get together before everyone left for the day. By this point poor Gramps was completely overwhelmed by everyone being there but it was sure nice to see everyone and hang out with them.
Funny faces from funny kiddos
Jac is saying right here..."what am I supposed to do with this crying baby... where is her mommy?"
Look at Peanut's face... priceless!
Probably the most beautiful girl in the world... what is she doing with my man (hehe just kidding)
All the boys... Ry is no longer the tallest!
Just holding Peanut what freaking hilarious!
Nic was a natural with Peanut
It was absolutely wonderful seeing everyone, wish we could see them all more often. BUT all good things come to an end and all had to go home... cannot wait to see them all again although I am not so sure it will be at another reunion!
