First and foremost I must say I am "one of those moms"...
Today Bubba had a special treat, he is getting to go to Harkins (with his class) to see a movie instead of doing the regular scheduled activities. I was given notice yesterday that they were going...
I informed Bubba of today's activities and he held his hands up and said "Mama I don't want to miss it" ~ SO FREAKING CUTE! So first thing this morning he got dressed (without being asked multiple times, like normal), ate his breakfast (like a champ) and put his shoes on... all with only being asked 1 time!!!
We had to be at school at 8am; we were there at 7:45 and we waited... Nana picked up Peanut and went on their way (Danielle had orientation to middle school today). But instead of just dropping my little man off and leaving to go on my merry little way to work I waited too! This being the first time he road a school bus I HAD to take pictures... I waited with Bubba and his class... they had snack, I waited... it seemed to take FOREVER for that bus to get there (and the whole time Mr. Price & Miss Jen had 13 4 year olds asking "Can we go yet? Is the bus here yet?" ~ They are troopers dealing with kids ALL.DAMN.DAY.EVERYDAY!)
The kids walked out to where the bus was meeting them and waited some more... the anticipation was building... the bus arrived and they went on their merry way! Bubba was so excited he didn't even turn around getting on the bus so I could get a picture! DAMN!!!!
Yes I am that mom! I was the ONLY
parent mom there waiting JUST to take pictures... crazy you might say but I was excited for him... and now I am sad. Sad because even though he is still in preschool by him riding a school bus made me realize that my baby boy is seriously no longer a baby... he isn't even a toddler anymore, he is a KID! And he is growing up faster than I like!
However, I cannot wait to pick him up to find out how the movie was and the bus ride!

| Eating that snack... he was very concerned when I would go talk to the teacher outside; I had to stay right by his side |
| Reading with Miss Jen ~ she was trying to distract them because they wouldn't stop asking "when are we leaving" |
| Participating like a good boy ~ |
| Lining up to go to the bus ~ had to make sure I was still there! |
| They SEE the bus (in the background) ~ OH the excitment! |
| Woohoo they are off~ |
| About to board for the 1st time~ |
| He didn't even look back to flash me that smile :( |
| You can kind of see him going to his seat! |
Yeah for firsts~ I just know he had fun!
I am going to be JUST like you with my camera glued to my side at every single one of my children's events :)
