He will be working for the Yavapai Gaming Agency as the IT Desktop Specialist~ I am SOOOOOO proud!
What doe this mean for us you ask? Well this is more of a career move for Ryan (and he is continuing his education as well) and he has (over time) the ability to move up more so than he did at Computime. Now we are not saying that Computime has not been good to him or our family; they have. He was not looking when this position opened; I was notified by my MIS department (here at the Tribe, there is a difference between Tribal and Gaming even though they are both owned by the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe) that there was an opening and that Ryan should apply. So quickly we got the application and he submitted it.
Then the praying began! I prayed that God would allow him an interview... the call came that he got an interview (the last time we were in Vegas to be exact). Once he got done with the interview (which he looked ever so spiffy ~ see below) I started praying (after I thanked God of course) that he would get the position. The a day (YES A DAY) after his interview he got the call of them offering him the position. I thanked God! Then I started praying that he could KEEP the position... see gaming has a stipulation that immediate family cannot work together (remember my sister works in Regulatory)... later that day we got the call that SIL is NOT immediate family! Woohoo! The thanking began. Then the paperwork came... LOTS of paperwork; huge background check people! Bigger than I had to do with the Tribe... so the praying and waiting began again... see for gaming they have a certification that every employee has to adhere to and obtain every year; they go over financials etc... Remember how we had to file for bankruptcy years ago... well that can affect this certification. This background check goes back over 10 years and covers EVERYTHING! So yesterday all our prayers were answered and he starts on July 25th! My point to telling you all of this you ask? God ANSWERS!!! This is just one little thing he answered for us that meant A LOT!
I am so so so proud of Ryan and I cannot wait for this new journey for him, the Tribe has been awesome for me and I know this different avenue of the Tribe will be for him as well!
CONGRATS Ry ~ love you!
| This was taken right after his interview... he does clean up nice! |
