Christmas... Day 2

Merry Christmas! Note to self... Ry and I have decided that NEVER again will we travel for Christmas... taking everything "Santa included" was too much! But nonetheless our kids loved it. This was Christmas morning in the hotel:

Day 2 in Disneyland brought about MASSIVE CROWDS! And kinda made the whole event not so fun... but there was 2 highlights...

The first highlight: we got to have breakfast with the stars... THANKS GRANDMA! I have never done this before and it was so much fun to see Bubba (and Peanut) with all of the characters... their faces were priceless. The food... not so good... the company... AWESOME!

First thing after breakfast we tried to take Bubba on Space Mountain but they said he wasn't tall enough (really? he was yesterday for Splash Mountain ~ Oh well) so instead we took the kids on the Buzz Lightyear ride... which Bubba LOVED (and did another 2 times throughout the trip).

After Buzz Lightyear we went on the Finding Nemo ride... which was our first time ever (Ry, myself and the kids ~ Grandma has been on it). It was a cute ride.

Second highlight: In Tomorrow Land they now have this Jedi Training show for all of you Starwars fans. We first learned of this from our friends the Norton's when their son Blake got picked to do the training so we were determined to get our little Jedi into the training as well.

The show started at 11:30 so we were there at 10:45. As we waited it got more crowded but we were NOT going to miss this. Once the show started we of course became those crazy parents that will do anything to get our kiddo picked (he even had on his Darth Vader shirt on)... almost towards the end of the Master Jedi picking the kids Bubba's clothes were called out (they pick the kids by what they are wearing). YES!!!!

Seriously this was one of the highlights of the ENTIRE trip! Bubba was probably the smallest kid of all of them picked (and probably one of the youngest too). He got to be on center stage with the Master Jedi (now I must add he was not the only one on the main stage but he was almost center stage). I was SO excited I was shaking! This was an amazing experience. The ONLY down fall is... I gave Ry the other camera to take the video and he missed the last part where Bubba was fighting Darth Vader. The Master Jedi said before he fought Darth Vader that they saved the best, most intimidating for last. (This really depresses us and really made Ry mad because he taped some of the other parts of the show but missed the best part).

Oh and I must mention that again when on center stage my little man gave his Mommy & Daddy props... when we called out his name he waved and blew a kiss (made everyone laugh). I LOVE THIS BOY!

After the show Bubba wanted to do it again, but we were sure he wouldn't get picked again... that wouldn't be fair. So instead we got lunch and tried to get into another line... that didn't work so instead we went back to the hotel to rest up for a bit (Bubba wanted to play with his toys too).

Then a couple of hours later we were all ready to get back to the park... we went to go get a spot for Fantasmic. We got a great seat and waited for 2 hours (Bubba and Peanut fell asleep) and when we only had 30 mins until the show it started to poor! So back to the hotel we went... and it took forever to get back because it was SO busy!

So much for seeing the show... we all went back to the room dried off and went to bed. Tomorrow was our last day and the first day of California Adventure!
