Well, at first we went over to Disneyland... Mommy and Daddy went on Space Mountain while Grandma and the kids went on Buzz Lightyear (again).
It was fun to have a moment to ourselves for Space Mountain. I am really glad we didn't take Bubba on this ride, it was way too dark and he would have been really scared.
After all of that Ry and I took Logan over to Big Thunder Mountain while Grandma went over the CA Adventure to get Fast Passes to see World of Color. This was probably the biggest ride Mr. Bubba has ever been on. He was such a trooper! We were so proud of him... he said he liked it but didn't want to go on it again. (Although now I must add that as of yesterday 12/30 he said he wanted to go on it again and take his sister when she gets bigger ~ it was super cute because he was naming ALL of the rides HE wanted to take her on). So as any good Mommy I obviously took pictures of our Big Thunder Mountain adventure!
In line
He is SO photogenic
Still waiting ~ he really was excited
This was as we were coming back to the station... too bad they didn't have ride photos we totally would have bought them!
Off of the ride in front of the Mountain... goofy face!
After that we called Grandma and she was on her way back from CA Adventure (she couldn't get the tickets because she needed our tickets in order to get them) so we decided to meet in Fantasyland (Bubba wanted to go on Dumbo again). But along the way we found Santa's sleigh...
Mush!
And also along the way we found Woody!
Finally we made it over to Fantasyland! Although the detour wasn't so bad :) Back on Dumbo and Peter Pan! Once Grandma met up with us I took Peanut and Grandma (bless her heart) ventured back over to CA Adventure to try again to get tickets. While the Tyson family went on Peter Pan then over to (what we thought was Tom Sawyer's Island... but has since changed to Pirate's Cove). This was yet another FUN adventure. Right as we were getting in line for the ferry Grandma showed up to go with us. While over at the Pirate's Cove we played in the tree houses, went through caves and found the treasure!
One of my fav family pictures from the trip... too bad Grandma wasn't in it
What goof balls! Look at Bubba's funny face!
Captain pose
Dead Man's Cove... these be haunted waters Matey!
Now off to CA Adventure!
First Daddy and Mommy went on the Tower of Terror (Grandma had gotten us Fast Passes when she went over earlier) so we walked right on. Sorry... no pictures here. It definitely wasn't as scary as I remember the last time we went on it.
After the Tower we went to get lunch, while on our way we got the time for Playhouse Disney (of which we did right after lunch). The show was so great! I really love seeing Bubba experience something that he likes and is used to watching and to see it in person was a treat!
Waiting ever so patiently
Making faces waiting to go into the show
Once I got back we took Bubba on the swings - 2 times! He loved it!
After the swings we were headed towards the entrance because the kids were getting tired and Grandma was going to take them back to the hotel. But along the way we decided to stop and watch the parade (by this time poor Bubba had fallen asleep... we let him sleep until right before the parade). Boy are we glad we stopped and woke him up... the parade was all of his favorites (all Disney Pixar movies).
Fun family pic - this time Grandma was in it!
Finding Nemo
A Bug's Life
He was so excited to see Buzz! Here he is saying "look Mommy its Buzz!"
Then Grandma took the kids off to the hotel. Mommy and Daddy went off to watch the World of Color show which I must say was AWESOME! It brought all of the classic movies into the show as well as some new ones (like Tron). After that we checked out what ElecTRONica was... pretty cool. But mainly it was just a block party... we can find something like that in Vegas so we didn't stay long. We then went over to Disneyland to see Fantasmic (we were bound and determined to see this show since we never have). Totally worth the wait! It was again AWESOME! Bubba would have loved the show with the dragon and everything.
We then left for the hotel, I was SO tired while waiting to see Fantasmic I almost fell asleep (lol). Not before we snapped some special pictures of just the 2 of us.
While this trip was awesome and we very much enjoyed it we have decided that Christmas will be spent at home (it was hard taking everything with us) and we will never again go on 1) a weekend and 2) a holiday.
Thank you again to all who helped us by giving us $$ for the kiddos Christmas presents and a huge thank you to Grandma for going with us; this was a special treat since she has not spent a Christmas with us since we have had kids and with it being Peanut's 1st Christmas it was special as well. Also a big thank you to Auntie Lisa, Uncle Eliot, Jac & Just for paying for the tickets to the park as birthday/Christmas presents.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I do... although the actual experience through my kids eyes was completely priceless. Sorry for such LONG posts... but there was a lot of pictures!
